Muenster/Berlin
Did I mention that the german railway sucks? Way over 30 minutes delay caused quite some ruckus within my schedule. Plus, standing around outside a train station when it's freezing does not belong to my list of favourite activities, especially not when I have to get up early. Friggin' amateurs...
I never knew Leonardo Di Caprio could look like a mixture made out of Alex Moul and Geoff Rowley - go watch "Catch Me If You Can" to see for yourself. Amazing. Funny movie, too!
Did you know Chris Senn has had his second son? Juliano was born on January 1st, nine seconds past midnight - first kid in his timezome in 2003.
Emerica's Video-Premiere in Berlin was a blast. The Ex-WMF Ziegelstrasse was filled with an audience of over 300 people and the video lived up to it's name. Heath Kirchart is the man... 45 hammerly minutes went by, people were left stoked, and proceeded then towards the bars, where Andrew Reynolds, Chris Senn, Spanky, Tosh Townend, Heath, and Brian Herman signed some stuff for them. A three-days-three-cities-schedule (London, Paris, Berlin) can be exhilarating, and hell knows where those guys came to europe from, so it kind of showed that this had gotten slightly to their systems. It showed even more when Chris fainted later - at another club - and fell like a tree ... On his face. He survived without any new scars and tried go get some rest in a nearby corner, but the bouncers weren't having it and kicked us out of the Club called "Sound". "Let a good man take a nap!" It was time though.

Berlin/Hamburg
10:00am Meet Kerstin (Sony) at Ostbahnhof. Train to Hamburg. Park Hyatt Hotel RULES - I could live in a room like that, with a bath like that and a bed like that. Returned some Emails, the whole interview-schedule got pushed back a couple of hours, went back to my room, almost fell asleep, returned to the interview-suite an hour later, nothing started yet, back to my room again... And then, everything went pretty fast. Gizmo and Mika of Backspin Magazine started out, got a good interview, where allowed to shoot one (1) photo and left happy. After them it became appearant that Nas slowly but shurely lost interest in the interviews and I actually waited for him to walk by, cancelling the whole shebang. I didn't happen though. I got my ten minutes worth of questions, got a photo, and got the fuck out of there. Nas was so bored. "Any connection to skateboarding?" Head shakes slowly, eyes look at me sadly. "No."
That's what I call a good start.
Dinner at "Da Benito", my favourite Italian restaurant in Hamburg, backstage-, and photo-laminates, first three songs without flash, secure the backpack ... Enjoy the show. And enjoyable it was. Nas and his crew, the Bravehearts, played 80 minutes to a sold-out club. Setlist and sound were brilliant, drinks were at hand and the thought of an hour-long shower in that unbelievable bath of mine was present all the time. Back to the hotel bar, and after a couple Long Islands I spun myself into bed. Digital Planet should get that G4 on the way... Fast!
