Hello there!
I would have loved to write earlier, but for some reason my internet-connection was fucked for a while. Not the only fucked connection I have - Bockwursts are flying low these days, and their horizon resembles the one of a kneeling ant, but it’s all good. If you don’t know who I’m talking about, that’s fine. If you do know, however... It’s worse than you thought.
Had a beautiful weekend in Stuttgart at some fair called Abenteuer Sport, hosted the C.o.S. Cup that took place there, and backed in the scorching sun most of the time. The trip to Stuttgart was nice too – our layover in Duesseldorf, where I made a brief appearance on NBC Giga TV, was very interesting, as we got to see a huge Helmut Newton exhibition. On our way from Duesseldorf to Stuttgart (we went by train) we had exactly those folks next to us that you don’t want anywhere near you; father and son, both topped off with picture-perfect mullets (I actually have a picture), bellys, and enough dumbness to fill 150 minutes. Father mullet almost killed a catholic priest, just by trying to discuss god’s obvious absence, „(...) or holiday, or whatever“. I’m still impressed the old priest survived – he didn’t look that strong.
When we arrived in Stuttgart, we met up with Manuel Coskun (he picked us up from the Hotel) and went downtown. We got a couple of beers and continued to the „Zapata“, a club where DJ 5. Ton and DJ Hilmatic were spinning records. Soon our heads were spinning as well, so we peaced out, calling it a night. Almost ruined a Cab.
It went like that for three days straight – around 30 degrees centigrade during the day, clubs at night. Stuttgart has a shitload of clubs that play Hip Hop, it seems. I like that! By the time I had to work at the C.o.S. Cup, I was over partying at night, which actually was kinda good. I can work way better without a hangover.
So, back in Muenster for a day. Tomorrow (wednesday) I’m going to Bochum to get a second opinion on the condition of my messed-up elbow, and if time permits, I’ll go from there to Hamburg, because my man Danny has found two pretty interesting flats we could move into. Tomorrow and thursday are the chances to see them, so I’d rather be in Hamburg. Graffiti-Artist Seak invited me to a vernissage in Cologne on friday – fits good, because there’s a vert competition in Bonn on the weekend, where I’m supposed to host once again, I guess.
Later...
P.S.: It’s thursday... Yeah, I know. I am in Hamburg and the place we looked at yesterday is nice, if you can handle crack-whores and other junkies in your doorway. The place we’ll be looking at today is right above the Burger King on Reeperbahn. If you take a look at the map of Hamburg – it doesn’t get more „Kiez-Central“. Probably pretty loud, but still pretty safe. It’s right across the street (Davidstrasse, haha) from the police station.
Have a good one!
