Check my Jag (Panther's better...)
I really didn't mean to rent a car for christmas. Honestly. I was determined to make my trusty Peugeot 205 Automatic go all the way to Emsdetten and Bielefeld, but when I tried to start it's engine tuesday around noon, I instantly knew that this journey would not happen with this car. Sure, the engine ran, and it was able to move the car faster than 1mph after only a few minutes and two laps around the block, but it was very clear to me that a journey of over 600km was out of question. I picked up Jo and we drove straight to the Sixt-Station. Once there, a friendly employee told us that there were no cars left. Luckily Hertz was around the corner, and when we left there, we were sitting in a Jaguar X-Type 2.0 Diesel. Not too fast, but very comfortable, and we got a rate we couldn't complain about too. Now we're cruising like HRM, and not for a day or two, but for a whole fucking week! That's what I call christmas... Bad colds like Jo and I have right now don't really matter anymore.
I write these lines on my communicator, sitting in Bielefeld and waiting for lunch to be served. You! Have a nice christmas!

Ah, weekends... Really.
Yes, it's been a few days. I spent those with my girl, a couple of friends, and a bad, bad cold that brought her friends Rough Cough and Lotsa Slime. Not that much fun but we managed to attend two nice parties. I already forgot where we went on friday... Saturday we went to celebrate one year "Waagenbau", and a celebration it was. Good music, a ton of drinks (Jenny was behind the bar and took care of us very well) and funny idiots trying to hit on Jo and Lena (Ben Wes's girlfriend). With most of them it was easy enough - one eye contact, one raised eyebrow, guy gone (pretty funny, you don't really get to do that in Muenster). There were those four guys that spotted Jo and Lena and two of them came up to dance with the girls faster than they could check for boyfriends, so Ben and I started laughing behind their backs super-hard, which in turn made those two guys' friends laugh and they took care of that themselves, pulling their friends off our girls. That's what friends are there for.
Of course, there had to be one jackass. He came up to Jo a couple of times, asking what her shirt read ("Die Ärzte", easily readable from across the room), if she wanted to leave for another party with him and blaaah... Homeboy just didn't get it, so at one point I snuck up to his ear while he was talking to Jo again and whispered: "Wrong target motherfucker..." (Give that "Motherfucker" a little Redman-feel to it... Mo-fu-ka, something like that), and I added the internationally known gesture for "please do retreat to a place where I can't see you, Norway for example". I only do this when I'm drunk because usually I'm too much of a pussy to start a fight, but I got lucky anyway - the guy was an even bigger pussy, he replied with the international gesture for "Okay, okay, I'm sorry, never mind" and I didn't see him again... Other clubs didn't have that luck on saturday; a newly opened Club on Grosse Freiheit saw a brawl with more than 100 participants that night, and that started with some dumb fuck hitting on some other dumb fucks girl. Other funny activities included dissing Lorenzo Taurino the whole night (I think Jo started that and my drunk brain happily joined in), which probably explains why he didn't hang around with us anymore at some point. Sorry Lorenzo, we didn't really mean it. I think. To be honest, I don't really remember much of what was said, except maybe the word "Gonzo-Journalist". So, sorry, and thank you for enriching the evening with your presence Lorenzo.
Need I say yesterday was more than mellow?
Not much more to tell right now... Oh! I now remeber friday! Good... Gang Starr played at the Grünspan! Guru and Primo live in Hamburg, Germany. Tickets to this show had been sold out months before but I got lucky once again. Did an interview with the supporting act "Redrama" in the afternoon, so we were given two tickets. Unfortunately we missed Redramas perfomance by a few minutes and that's really sad, because I really enjoyed his album "Everyday Soundtrack" (the name says it all), and the interview was really nice. It was a little strange at first, because after listening to Lasse's AKA Redrama's album (and with Gang Starr being act of the night) I expected to talk to a black american, and when I met him, he turned out to be a 26-year-old white boy from Finland. Ooops. As I said, the album is called "Everyday Soundtrack", it rules, and you should go and get it if you can. Plus, you can visit him here. Too bad we missed his show. I'm sure he'll be around again soon though.
Out for now, back to bed and cup-o-teas. I still have the worst cough and I need to get rid of that.
